בָּשָׂר bāśār, “mere mortal man
The Hebrew word בָּשָׂר bāśār, transliterated as baw-sawr’ often translated as “mere mortal man” in Psalm 56 is speaking of the fleshly man ~ his corrupted material nature vs. his spiritual nature. The psalmist poetry is explicit. This man is relying on his material, fleshly nature while rejecting every scintilla of his Spiritual nature to determine Truth.
